Do you get excited about new goals?
Do you need a spark of energy to help push your goals forward?
Do you have the Zoomies?!!!
We have a new puppy, Watson. Late at night, Watson will get a sudden burst of energy.
He will run all around the living room, hop on the couch, then jump off, and sprint around the house.
After a short period of time, he will finally run himself out, then he settles down and chills out until...the next burst of energy.
We learned it's called "zoomies"....yes we researched it. :-)
It’s rather interesting and intriguing because we also learned the scientific term for that sudden burst of energy is..."Frenetic Random Activity Periods (FRAPS)”
As soon as I read that, I immediately thought about how similar that is with motivation.
There are times that we have a goal and we extremely excited in the beginning.
We dive in with full force but slowly over the days, months, (sometimes years), the motivation level slowly decreases.
Feeling motivated consistently can be a struggle.
Sustaining motivation is different for everyone.
High performers learn how to master their motivation.
